International Business
Large and emerging businesses often do business across international borders.
They earn and spend foreign currency, operate under foreign laws, deal with complex cultural issues, and employ Americans to staff operations abroad.
Finlandia’s BBA International Business concentration gives you the broad liberal arts foundation to understand the complexities and cultural differences of an increasingly global marketplace.
Besides the business core required of all BBA majors, you will study international business, international marketing, and international economics plus a foreign language and courses designed to expand your understanding of international affairs. You will spend at least one semester of study abroad since cultural awareness, an important dimension of Finlandia’s IB concentration, is best obtained through living in a foreign country.
For international students for whom English is a second language, English is the language option and study of US history, government, literature, and politics is the international affairs option.
