* Loan amounts are restricted by grade/credit level.  Also, for first-time Stafford loan borrowers at Finlandia University - Due to federal regulations, the first disbursement of your Stafford loan funds for the first semester you attend/borrow loans will be 30 days after the first day of the semester.  In addition, students that choose to do a loan request that has a loan period that is only one semester long will be subject to having two disbursements over the course of the semester.  The second disbursement of the loan will NOT be released until the 60% point of the semester.  This could possibly have an effect on the date you receive an overage check.
